About Me

Hi, I’m Shreyas! I was born in India but moved to the United States, and I’m now an American citizen. I began my education in New Jersey, and in 3rd grade, I moved to Chicago. From 3rd to 8th grade, I explored everything I enjoyed – chess, running, table tennis, swimming, karate, and more! I wanted to try everything before I ever said no. I’ve been that way all my life, willing to jump to find the next adventure.

By the time high school rolled around, I had moved to Seattle, and it’s something I’m thankful for. Being in such a community of acceptance / openness during my formative years was a major positive. It gave me the opportunity to find myself without feeling the pressure to conform to certain “rules.” During this time, I also found running to be my biggest passion. Running has taught me countless lessons, improved my drive, and made me a go-getter.

Now, I’m in college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and closing out the formative years of my life. I’m a DIII cross country / track and field runner, and I’m the team photographer – while I’m not competing, that is. I pursue photography these days, and I’m trying to start building my portfolio. To do that, I’m expanding from landscapes to include portraiture in my skill set.

As I reach the end of my college years, I recognize the need to broaden my horizons beyond what I’ve been limited to thinking: my education. So now, I’m pursuing content creation, in the form of blogs, photography, and my own hands-on projects.

I still want to pursue opportunities in my field of study, biomedical engineering, because I want to help those who are living a less-than-normal quality of life. At the same time, I want to pursue ideas I’d never taken on while I was concentrated on my education.

By starting this website, I’m taking the first step in putting my name out there and redefining my value proposition. It’s the first step in an experiment on myself, and I look forward to where it takes me. I’d love to get in touch with you and talk about my goals, the lessons I’ve learned, or even opportunities to help me along my journey!
